Weather

ornament becomes weather

Open full screen ↗

A word seeds an ornate frame — rails, knots, rosettes, all grown parametrically — and then the frame is handed to the weather. A real-time fluid simulation runs on the GPU (a 3D velocity/pressure field, ray-marched as volumetric ink), and the ornament slowly dissolves into drifting, self-organizing cloud.

So the structure never holds still: it's continuously eaten and reformed by its own turbulence. Type a seed to grow a new one. (Needs WebGL 2 — it'll say so if your browser can't.)
