Pollen Debt: Chromatic Epicenter

waves ripple out and pay each node in size and colour

A field of nodes sits on a staggered grid, each one nearly absent — small and dark. Then radial crests spread out from a hidden epicenter, and as each wave passes a node it pays its debt: the dot swells from a speck to full size and colors up from black to magenta, teal, or gold, then settles back as the crest moves on.

So the whole field breathes in rings on a fourteen-second cycle — the pollen owed to each cell arriving, briefly, in turn. Press R to reseed the field into a new arrangement of crests.
